To generate profitable growth with existing and new customers, through maintaining and building upon customer relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTo identify, anticipate and satisfy the needs of the customers. Generate new sales through outbound communications; improve and grow existing customer sales by identifying the customers' needs and aligning them to the Simon Safety core product offer.
Administer the customer order process, from enquiry (quotation) through to the sales order process, and monitor customer back orders. Ensure good customer service throughout the whole process.
Obtain information on clients' needs, notice regular trends or declines in product sales, and provide technical knowledge of Simon Safety's products and services. Support and utilise the skills of the Simon Safety external Business Development Managers (BDM's) to grow our business and build and maintain customer relationships, in particular alliance and partner customers, through regular outbound telephone calls and occasional site visits. Actively promote Simon Safety to maximise profitable growth.
KEY DUTIESEnsure customers receive an exceptional customer service experience when dealing with Simon Safety. Work closely with the external BDM's and the Sales Operations Manager to achieve the agreed sales forecast, increase growth, and exceed customer expectations.
Process customer sales orders and enquiries through the 'Orderwise ERP System' and optimise the use of the CRM facility. Follow up and liaise with customers on back orders or shortages. Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to develop business opportunities and promote Simon Safety products and services.
Maintain weekly telephone communication with alliance/partner customers and liaise with external BDM's to ensure full CRM information is communicated. Carry out customer site visits to optimise relationships. Source leads and enquiries from internet and email campaigns and prepare sales pitches. Provide technical knowledge and support to customers, generating enquiries, preparing, submitting, and converting quotations into sales orders.
Work closely with the Customer Site Services Controller to increase profitable sales and equipment servicing business. Work on your own initiative with enthusiasm and motivation, continually seeking to improve customer sales, achieve monthly sales forecast and gross profit targets.
Provide efficient and timely responses to all requests and tasks. Ensure compliance with the company Health and Safety regulations. Be aware of competitor activity, industrial trends, and assist in the preparation of sales and marketing campaigns. Provide assistance when serving customers at the retail counter.
