Job Description
Background

A fixed cap of 28 patients a day and protected admin time written into the job plan. This large, well-organised practice has built a working day designed to be sustainable. With experienced GP trainers on hand and active support for newly qualified GPs, it is an excellent place to build your career.

Location

The practice is based in Peterborough, a growing cathedral city on the A1(M), A47 and East Coast Main Line. Stamford (25 minutes), Huntingdon (30 minutes) and Cambridge (50 minutes) are all within easy reach by car, and London King's Cross is under an hour by train.

The Practice
  • Established GP Training Practice hosting GP registrars and medical students, with multiple GP trainers in the team

Your Role
  • 6 sessions per week, with 8 sessions also considered
  • Capped at 28 patients per day (14 per session, 10-minute appointments), with no extras added
  • Protected admin time of 90 minutes a week at 6 sessions, or 120 minutes at 8
  • Supported duty days, with a dedicated care coordinator on call to action requests instantly
  • Low home visiting
  • Personal lists, with sites set on a fixed weekly pattern so you always know where you will be
  • Newly qualified GPs welcome, with support to apply for the GP Fellowship programme
  • GP trainer development and special interests actively encouraged
Salary and Benefits
  • £11,000 per session
