North Swindon Practice is looking for a salaried GP (6-8 sessions) to join our busy yet supportive practice serving approximately 20,000 patients.
- 15 minute appointments, 12 patients per session
- Supportive, experienced clinical and management team
- Training practice with strong mentorship and learning culture
- Strong multidisciplinary team including nurse practitioners, pharmacists, visiting paramedics, and ARRS roles
- NHS pension and 7 weeks leave (6 weeks annual plus 1 week study leave)
- CPD, appraisal and revalidation fully supported
Newly qualified and experienced GPs welcome - mentorship provided.
Main duties of the jobProvide comprehensive, patient centred primary care by assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Conduct face to face, telephone, and digital consultations, prescribe and review medications, arrange investigations, and refer to specialist services as needed. Promote health education and preventative care, maintain accurate and up to date clinical records, and collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care.
Person Specification Essential- Experience working in primary care / general practice
- Ability to assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Good organisational, time management and IT skills
- Understanding of clinical governance and safeguarding responsibilities
- Experience with SystmOne
- Teaching, training, or mentoring experience
- Involvement in quality improvement or audit
- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Register
- Licence to practise and evidence of ongoing CPD
- Experience working within the NHS
- Interest in a clinical specialism or service development
