An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to join our fantastic team at Baddeley Green Surgery 4 to 7 sessions per week. Please note we are not a Tier 2 sponsoring practice.
We are a friendly, well organised practice.
Our current team consists of 1 GP Partner, 2 Part Time Salaried GP's, 1 Long-term Locum GP, 1 Long-term Locum ANP, 1 Part Time Practice Nurse, 2 Part Time Health Care Support Workers and excellent management team with a full complement of administration support staff.
Baddeley Green Surgery is a growing practice with a current list size of approximately 5900 patients. Our Clinical system is EMIS Web utilising Docman and electronic prescribing. We strive as a team to ensure we are providing the highest quality, efficient and effective services to our patients.
Main duties of the jobTo workas an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medicalservices to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard ofclinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, thepost-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice,contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example,maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with themultidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilitiesThedelivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
Theprovision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
Genericprescribing adhering to local and national guidance
Effectivemanagement of long-term conditions
Processingof administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requestsand other associated administrative tasks
Ona rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor on call roles
Maintainaccurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy andguidance
Workingcollaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
Adhereto best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
Contributeto the successful implementation of continuous improvement and qualityinitiatives within the practice
Acceptdelegated responsibility for a specific area or areas of QOF
Attendand contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
Contributeeffective to the development and maintenance of the practice including;clinical governance, training, financial management and HR
Ensurecompliance with the appraisal process
Prepareand complete the revalidation process

Supportthe training of medical students from all clinical disciplines
Supportthe partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, makingrecommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure

Person Specification Qualifications- Fully Qualified GP
- MRCGP
- Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
- General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
- Annual Appraisal & Revalidation (When appropriate)
- Current UK Driving Licence
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Outstanding level of clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with that of an experienced GP
- Experience of working in a primary care environment
- Experience of continued professional development
- Experience of QOF/QiF and clinical audit
- Minimum of two years as a salaried GP
- General understanding of the GMS contract
- Experience of medicines management
- Experience of ICB initiatives
