Job Description

Chapel Street Surgery is looking for a salaried GP Doctor to join our growing team.

Chapel Street Surgery is a small and friendly patient centred practice serving the local people of Pelsall. Our practice list is currently around 2500 and growing.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties

The post holder will work as an autonomous General practitioner within our supportive practice team providing high quality patient centred care. You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of health conditions. You will provide guidance and support to patients and colleagues.

4-5 sessions per week (Thursday compulsory day) remaining sessions are flexible

6 weeks annual leave and 1 weeks study leave pro rate

Clinical system EMIS web

Daily debrief and weekly catch-up meeting available

Wide range of Local Enhanced Services & QOF

An interest in Medical Education is desirable but not essential

CQC rating Good for all areas

Commendation for excellent achievement in the GP Patient Survey 2024

Very low number of home visits

Low staff turnover

Document workflow (docman) overseen by administrative team and medicine

management pharmacist support in place,

About us

The practice has a very experienced, stable team, a single handed GP, apart-time Advanced Nurse Practitioner and part-time Practice Nurse, a full-timeHealth Care Assistant, a Practice Manager and Medical Secretary and a team of receptionists/administrators.We are also supported by various ARRS staff provided by the PCN to which webelong.

Our clinical team currently consists of a GP, ANP, Practice Nurse, and HCA, ARRS staff including a Paramedic and Nurse Associate. Our team is collaborative, supportive and value open communication and mutual respect. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic GP to join our supportive team. The post-holder must be within 2 years of completing their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and not held a substantive post.

Supervision from supportive senior GP

Person Specification Qualifications
  • The post-holder must be within 2 years of completing their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
  • Experience of joint injections and an interest in Medical Education
