Job Description

Lister House Surgery is looking for a salaried GP to join their busy, GMS, training practice in Hatfield (located near the Asda on The Common). This part time position (6 sessions per week) starts on 1 April 2026. We are flexible with the session to be covered to suit the GP's needs.

Main duties of the job

The role will include all general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

About us

Lister House Surgery has strong clinical and administration support and excellent working relationships within the primary care network. The practice serves a list of 14,000 patients and is a modern, purpose built facility.

  • SystmOne practice, users of Ardens and AccuRx.
  • Strong collaborative working with the three other practices in Hatfield Primary Care Network and the wider GP Federation.
  • Organised GP team: 8 partners, 3 salaried GPs, and 2 registrars.
  • Experienced nursing team: 1 nurse prescriber, 2 practice nurses, and 1 HCA, with nurse led minor illness and chronic disease clinics.
  • Training practice.
  • Flexible session times to suit GP needs.
  • Low home visit rate supported by a home visiting service.
  • Excellent transport links to London.
  • Willing to wait for the right candidate.
  • ARRS support: social prescribers, pharmacist, pharmacist technician, physiotherapist, care co ordinator, frailty nurse, mental health team, and health and wellbeing coaches.
Qualifications Essential
  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
  • Be on the NHSE medical performers list
