Job Description

Are you a motivated, patient-centred GP looking to take the next step in your career? We are a well-established, friendly, and innovative practice seeking a committed General Practitioner to join our team.

As a practice, we are striving to provide an exceptional level of care to our patients. We are a supportive practice with an excellent primary care team.

Main duties of the job

A 4- 6-session GMC-registered GP who is enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to high-quality care. An interest in contributing to the growth and future direction of the Practice.

Job responsibilities

Provide consultations, diagnoses, treatments, and referrals for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed health concerns.

Provide preventative care, health education, screening, and advice on lifestyle changes.

Prescribe and review medication according to evidence-based practice and national/local guidelines.

Conduct telephone consultations when appropriate.

Respond to medical emergencies within the practice.

Make home visits when clinically necessary.

Participate in the review of significant events and clinical audits.

Participate in Clinical and Practice meetings.

Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely patient records using the practices clinical system EMIS.

Complete and review medical reports, referrals, forms and correspondence.

Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to the development of protocols and guidelines

Assist in ensuring the practice meets QOF, enhanced services, and other contractual targets.

Qualifications
  • Full registration with the GMC and a license to practise
  • Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Experience in UK General Practice (or equivalent primary care experience).
  • Interest or qualification in a clinical specialty
