Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen for a salaried GP to work at Brewood Medical Practice. Our practice is set in a beautiful semi rural area of Brewood, Stafford. We also have a branch surgery based in Wheaton Aston which has recently undergone renovations to modernise the facilities there.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our forward thinking team. We are a friendly and supportive. Up to 5 sessions are available.

We are lucky to have a team made up of GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Prescribing Nurses, Practice Nurses, HCAs, MSK, Managers, Pharmacy Technicians, Dispensers, Reception and Admin support.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a General Practitioner to join our friendly team. Good communication skills are essential.

The GP should be a team player happy to work with a multi disciplinary team as this practice is forward thinking and has many different AHCP roles.

Candidate should be able to drive as this role will also entail house visits and visits to the local nursing home.

One admin/CPD session per 9 sessions or pro rata will be allocated each week.

Clinical system used is Emis Web.

About us

Our practice is a training practice with a list size of approximately 10,700.

Our clinical team consists of:

  • 8 GPs
  • 1 Nurse Prescriber
  • 2 Practice Nurses
  • 2 Health Care Assistants
  • A full complement of administrative staff including a care navigation team.

We are a hard working team who pull together to ensure patients get the best care possible.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

Person specification Qualifications
  • Qualified General Practitioner with live GMC Registration
Experience
  • Experience in working in a primary care setting
  • Experience of working in a GP practice

  • Must be on the Performer list
