Job Title: Safeguarding/Inclusion Officer- Lewisham

We are urgently seeking Safeguarding/Inclusion Officer

We are looking for an experienced Safeguarding/Inclusion Officer to join a Secondary school in Lewisham. The candidate must have prior experience in safeguarding roles within a school setting. Would also need to be available to interview next week and free till Christmas.

Responsibilities

• To work closely in support of all internal and external agencies that support inclusion across the school.
• To be proactive and creative in supporting and developing the inclusion team.
• To develop open lines of communication between staff, students and families.
• To be the school's deputy child protection officer across the school. To be responsible for a key caseload of families.
• To be an active member of the Inclusion team, and as such be involved in developing, implementing and reviewing relevant aspects of the School Development Plan.
• A valid DBS registered on the update service.
• 2-3 professional references covering a minimum of 2-3 years of employment history.
• Must be available for an immediate interview and start date.

• A valid DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
• References covering your past two years of employment or education
• Proof of right to work in the UK
• Proof of national insurance
• Proof of address (dated within the last three months)
