The Leicestershire & Rutland County FA is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Safeguarding & Behaviour Improvement Officer.

This role focuses on two vital areas of grassroots football: safeguarding and improving behaviour across the game. You will:
- Lead the implementation of safeguarding across LRCFA in line with The FA's Safeguarding 365 Standard
- Manage safeguarding concerns and compliance, working with statutory agencies and supporting Club Welfare Officers
- Promote positive behaviour and implement local and national interventions to address poor behaviour and discrimination
- Deploy and support Discrimination Support Officers to challenge and respond to incidents effectively
- Deliver training, guidance and CPD to ensure safe, fun and inclusive football environments
We are seeking applications from individuals who share our values of being progressive, respectful, collaborative and inclusive. The successful candidate will have:
- A safeguarding qualification and/or experience in a child protection, safeguarding, or welfare role
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- The ability to manage sensitive information and challenging situations effectively
- Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policy and practice relating to children and adults at risk
Desirable qualities include completion of Designated Safeguarding Officer training, experience of working with volunteers, and knowledge of The FA's Grassroots Football Strategy.
