RTL design engineer

RTL Design Engineer FPGA / ASIC Deep tech semiconductor startup

A pioneering semiconductor company at the forefront of developing ultra-secure chips for collaborative intelligent systems is looking to hire a talented FPGA Engineer.

In this role, you will design, implement, & optimize FPGA solutions using RTL design methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design & implement digital circuits using VHDL/Verilog.
• Translate system requirements into efficient FPGA architectures.
• Develop, synthesize, & optimize FPGA designs for timing, power, & area.
• Use FPGA tools (Xilinx, Intel, Lattice) for synthesis, place-and-route, & optimization.
• Ensure design compliance with constraints through post-synthesis & post-route analysis.
• Apply RTL design best practices (modularity, code reuse, pipelining).
• Create & maintain detailed documentation for FPGA designs.
• Provide regular project updates, report progress, & identify risks.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, & system architects.
• Stay updated with latest FPGA technologies, tools, & best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of RTL coding experience (ASIC or FPGA)
• Proficiency in VHDL or Verilog.
• Experience designing FPGA-based systems for high-performance/real-time applications.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA platforms (Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice).
• Strong knowledge of RTL design, digital logic, & finite state machines.
• Expertise with FPGA tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, ModelSim).
• Familiarity with synthesis, place-and-route, & timing closure methodologies.
