Job Description

This major music group is delivering a high-impact data transformation across its royalties function, and they need an experienced analyst to help clean, validate and migrate multiple years of royalty data. If you've worked with royalty systems and know your way around complex recording contracts and earnings data, this is a great opportunity to join a global project with real industry impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support the strategy for cleaning and reconciling legacy royalty data across core systems

  • Validate and cleanse royalty data (e.g. artist details, earnings, contracts) to ensure completeness and consistency

  • Identify and correct data discrepancies between platforms, collaborating with internal Finance and Royalties teams

  • Support the migration and integration of data across royalty systems, ensuring correct formatting and alignment

  • Prepare reports for project stakeholders and maintain documentation for audit and internal reference

  • Collaborate with Royalty, Finance, and Tech teams to ensure seamless data alignment and accurate calculations

  • Participate in end-to-end system testing and post-migration reconciliations

  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiencies in royalties data processes

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in music royalties, rights management, or similar - ideally with hands-on use of royalty systems

  • Strong understanding of recording contracts, publishing terms, and royalty data structures

  • Highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation)

  • Experience across data validation, reporting, cleansing, and migration

  • Bonus points for SQL, Python or database tools experience - but not essential

  • Immediately available, or on 2 weeks notice or less
