Main duties of the jobAs a Senior Rotational Clinical Pharmacist, you will work across a number of different rotations, including critical care, paediatrics, surgery and a variety of medical specialties. Your daily responsibilities will encompass ward based tasks, chart reviews, clinical interventions, partnership with the medical team to optimise medication regimens, patient education on medications, screening of discharge prescriptions, and support for junior or trainee pharmacists.
You will take the lead in conducting audits and driving quality improvement initiatives.
During six monthly rotations you will provide a comprehensive pharmaceutical service, working towards expert level knowledge. You will also develop managerial skills and expertise through agreed objectives.
This position is full time (37.5 hours per week) and may include seven day working and on call rotas. We also welcome applications for part time, job share or flexible working arrangements.

Person Specification Qualifications- Certificate in clinical pharmacy (at least 12 months complete and working towards 18 months)
- MSc in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent. Management training
- Full Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
- Management training
- Post registration UK hospital experience (minimum 18 months)
- Experience providing services to a broad variety of patients
- Demonstrated evidence of good clinical knowledge and skills
- Management of staff / staff appraisal experience
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Good organisational skills, self and others
- Ability to motivate self and others
- Clinical governance and risk management
- Experience contributing to or leading on the writing of trust guidelines, policies and procedures

£53,751 to £60,651 a year, pro rata, with 0.5% increase for the Outer Health Care Agency (HCAS).
