The Fern Early Learning Centre Cheltenham is a newly constructed, architecturally designed modern facility that accommodates up to 120 children. Conveniently located just two minutes from DFO, the centre's design seamlessly integrates open play spaces, providing ample opportunities for children to explore their natural environment. About the Role
  • Inspire and guide educators to achieve excellence while fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Develop and lead the team in delivering a tailored planning, curriculum, and outcomes cycle for each child in your care.
  • Ensure that all documentation of children's learning is accessible to families and meets high-quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming, secure, and stimulating interactive learning environment.
  • Always uphold the highest standards of health and safety.
  • Drive continuous improvement whilst leading positive outcomes for children, families, the community, and colleagues.
  • Prioritise dedicated non-contact time to support thoughtful and purposeful program development.
  • Collaborate effectively with broad team to achieve outcomes that benefit our community.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Lead Educator or Room Leader role leading and developing age specific programs and routines.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Familiarity with KindyHub or similar online programming platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong written communication skills and confidence in guiding documentation related to children's learning and development.
  • An ACECQA recognised Diploma or higher
  • An approved Working with Children Check (State Specific)
  • National Police Check (not more than 6 months old)
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates
