RISK AND CONTROLS MANAGER

To monitor and improve the effectiveness of data controls within the organization, ensuring compliance with data risk management standards and supporting remediation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor the effectiveness of existing data controls (approx. 40 controls).
• Identify weaknesses and develop remediation plans in collaboration with control owners.
• Track progress of remediation activities and ensure timely resolution.
• Engage with stakeholders across first and second lines of defense to address data risk issues.
• Utilize tools such as Helios for control monitoring and reporting.
• Provide clear reporting on control status, remediation feasibility, and overall data risk rating.
• Support governance processes and ensure alignment with regulatory and internal standards.

Required Skills & Experience :

• Proven experience in data risk and control management.
• Strong understanding of control effectiveness monitoring.
• Analytical skills to assess issues and propose practical solutions.
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
• Familiarity with governance tools (Helios or similar).
• Experience in compliance and risk frameworks within financial services.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of data risk management in a global banking context.
• Experience working with remediation plans and issue tracking.
