Risk & Compliance Lead

A growing technology organisation is looking for a Risk & Compliance Lead to help strengthen its risk, compliance and governance framework.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can combine commercial business partnering with practical delivery. You'll work across enterprise risk, regulatory compliance, privacy, financial crime, internal controls, policies, incidents and remediation.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders but is also comfortable getting into the detail, owning actions and seeing things through to completion.

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the enterprise risk management framework.
• Maintain risk registers, action plans and compliance records.
• Monitor regulatory and compliance requirements and support implementation of changes.
• Prepare risk and compliance reporting for senior management and Board-level stakeholders.
• Provide practical risk and compliance advice across the business.
• Review and improve policies, controls and governance processes.
• Support customer-driven compliance and assurance requirements.
• Coordinate incidents, breaches, investigations and remediation activity.
• Identify control gaps and drive improvements through to completion.
• Promote strong risk, compliance and governance practices across the organisation.

We're looking for someone with:

• Experience in risk, compliance, governance, privacy, financial crime, legal or internal controls.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk and compliance frameworks.
• Experience maintaining risk registers and producing senior-level reporting.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and providing practical advice.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• A hands-on, delivery-focused approach with the ability to take ownership from identification through to resolution.
• The confidence to challenge constructively while maintaining a commercial mindset.
