Job Description
Mount Charles Group is recruiting a Cleaning Operative for the Translink Depot in Portadown.
Working Pattern- 40 hours per week
- Night shift: 9:00 pm to 5:00 am
- Five nights in seven
- Full medical and personal track safety course required
- 28 days paid holiday (pro rata)

- Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and to the required standards, including weekly and periodic tasks.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with COSHH guidelines.
- Maintain full knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials, and agents, and use equipment only after correct training.
- Immediately report and mark any faulty equipment; do not use it.
- Properly display safety signage, such as wet floor signs, and warn customers where possible.
- Keep cleaning stores clean, tidy, and store equipment safely at all times.
- Safely dispose of sharps such as needles and blades when required.
- Comply with all security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment, and buildings as set by the client and Mount Charles.
- Attention to detail in all aspects of the work.
- Leads by example and embodies company values.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about customer service and reputation.
- Self motivated, works independently, and takes initiative.
- Flexible with a positive, can do attitude.
- Has basic statutory training: reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to understand safety and work instructions and to communicate with customers.
The successful candidate will be subject to a Personal Track Safety Medical Assessment, including a full medical and drug and alcohol test as part of a Public Transport Safety program.
