Retail Senior Customer Service Assistant

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Retail team as a Senior Customer Service Assistant where every day brings new opportunities to make customers' visits memorable.

What you'll be doing

You'll work alongside the Retail Manager to run successful gift shops that delight customers every day.

  • Assist with front of house operations and ensure shops open on time with perfect presentation standards
  • Cover for managers/supervisors during holidays and busy periods as a trusted key holder
  • Motivate colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service through positive engagement
  • Handle customer enquiries efficiently while maintaining a friendly, professional approach
  • Manage stock rotation and compliance, particularly for perishable items
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across all operations
  • Support stocktakes and special events throughout the year

This is a seasonal permanent role meaning you will work during the open season each year (late March to early January). Your hours will be 32 per week worked over 4 days out of 7, with flexibility to meet the needs of the business, particularly during busy times.

What you'll bring Experience you'll need
  • Strong experience within a retail environment
  • Customer service experience in retail operations
  • Cash handling and till operation skills
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Experience supervising a team preferable, although training will be provided

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate numerical skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and use your own initiative
