Restaurant Manager luxury hotel

We are currently recruiting for a Restaurant Manager to join our team and oversee the management of our hotel restaurant. We are looking for a dynamic individual with previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, strong organisational abilities, and proven leadership skills. In this role, you will report directly to the Director Food and Beverage.

Location: Ashford Castle

Employment type: Full Time

Working pattern: 5 Days a Week

Key Responsibilities of a Restaurant Manager
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the restaurant, maintaining high standards of service and hospitality.
  • Lead and manage the team on the floor, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure excellent guest experiences.
  • Monitor and manage online customer reviews, addressing feedback and taking appropriate actions to continuously improve service.
  • Motivate and inspire the team to consistently deliver top-notch food and beverage service while maintaining a positive, professional work environment.
  • Oversee the presentation of all areas, including both front-of-house and back-of-house, ensuring cleanliness and organisation.
  • Ensure effective communication within the team and across the hotel, collaborating with various departments to enhance the guest experience.
  • Manage restaurant operations, including reservations, inventory, and stock control, to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales, improve guest satisfaction, and meet performance targets.
What are we looking for?
  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the focus on providing outstanding guest service.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and guest satisfaction.
  • Proven experience in managing customer feedback and implementing solutions to enhance service quality.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operation.
