Job Description

PE Global Healthcare is currently recruiting a Respiratory Physiologist for a leading healthcare provider in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and patient-focused professional to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality respiratory diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and independently report on Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs).
  • Set up and score at-home sleep studies.
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centred respiratory diagnostic services.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A Physiologist/Clinical Measurement degree or equivalent, or a Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology (or equivalent).
  • 1-2 years' post-qualification experience as a Respiratory Physiologist in a hospital setting.
  • Proven experience performing and reporting autonomously on Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs).
  • Experience setting up and scoring at-home sleep studies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong awareness of, and sensitivity to, patient needs.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and build positive working relationships internally and externally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
