An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced horticulturist with a passion for training and inspiring young people. As a Resource Technician, you will support teaching staff and students across all courses within the College's specialist horticulture programs as well as maintaining practical areas and gardens.
Key Responsibilities- Select and demonstrate tool and equipment use.
- Maintain and repair horticultural machinery and equipment.
- Sourcing plant identification samples and glasshouse production.
- Support teaching staff and students across all courses.
- Maintain practical areas and gardens.
- Level 2 qualification in Horticulture (essential).
- PA1/PA6 Certificate (desirable).
- Experience working in the training or education sector.
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team, demonstrating a proactive, well organised, and self motivated approach. Strong administrative and digital skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office for retrieving and storing files, managing email inboxes, and booking and coordinating Outlook calendar events.
Salary£11,119.60 - £11,381.60, inclusive of London Weighting.
