River Valley Care Ltd is looking to recruit enthusiastic and experienced Residential Support Workers to join our committed team in Hereford. The home is for 2 young people between the ages of 10 and 18 years old. The home's ethos is based on family values in a rural, therapeutic setting and will use various educational and fun activities to promote healthy lifestyles, and safe choices.
You must have a passion and experience working with children and young people in a residential home and be able to work on a 24-hour shift basis, including weekends, bank holidays and sleep ins.
You will be responsible for the day-to day care ensuring that all needs are met including the safety and welfare of young people.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS disclosure (or be checked against the update service) as part of the vetting and barring process and two references.
Location: Hereford
Salary: £13 - £16 per hour + sleep in allowance.
Annual salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Hours: 2 days on (including sleeps) - 4 days off (part time hours available).
Training: Full training provided, with support to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

The RoleAs a Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Provide day to day care, ensuring the safety, welfare, and overall well being of young people.
- Support and encourage young people in developing their independence skills, such as cooking, shopping and social outings.
- Encourage independence and social interactions through engaging activities, such as paddleboarding, kayaking and climbing.
- Work a shift pattern of 2 on 4 off rota, including weekends, bank holidays, and sleep ins (additional sleep in allowance.)
- No experience required - full training provided.
- Funded Level 3 Diploma in Residential childcare.

To be successful, you will need:
- Willingness to study for Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare if not already held.
- A full driving licence. - Will consider a strong candidate who doesn't drive.
