Purpose of Role

To manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion, delivering a high quality, efficient, and client-focused service while contributing to the continued growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions including:
  • - Sales and purchases
  • - Remortgages
  • - Transfers of title
  • - New build purchases
• Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients in a timely manner
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
• Draft, review, and negotiate missives
• Ensure compliance with Law Society of Scotland standards and AML requirements
• Maintain accurate file records and case management systems
• Contribute to business development and maintaining client relationships
• Support and supervise junior team members where appropriate

Person Specification

• Qualified Solicitor in Scotland (NQ-5+ PQE)
• Experience handling residential conveyancing transactions independently
• Strong knowledge of Scottish conveyancing practice and procedures
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience of rural property transactions
• Familiarity with case management systems
• Interest in business development and networking
