Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join a well-established and award-winning law firm in Sheffield. This role would suit an experienced Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal who is confident supporting residential property transactions and is looking to develop their career within a reputable and supportive firm.

About the Role

You will be a key member of a friendly and collaborative Residential Property team, providing essential support on conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion. Working closely with experienced fee earners, you will handle a varied caseload and gain exposure to a full range of residential property transactions including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity. This is an office-based position, offering the opportunity to benefit from hands on training, day to day support, and close collaboration with colleagues. The firm is committed to developing its people and provides a strong platform for long term progression within residential conveyancing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting residential conveyancing files from instruction through to completion
  • Preparing and drafting legal documentation, contracts, and correspondence
  • Conducting property searches and dealing with Land Registry requirements
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties
  • Maintaining accurate file records and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Providing a high level of client care and clear, timely communication
  • Using case management systems to manage files efficiently
  • Assisting fee earners to ensure transactions progress smoothly and efficiently
About You

  • Have experience working within residential conveyancing, ideally as a Paralegal or Conveyancing Assistant
  • Are organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Have strong communication skills and are confident dealing with clients and third parties
  • Possess excellent attention to detail
  • Are comfortable working independently as well as part of a close knit team
  • Have good IT skills and experience using case management systems
  • Are committed to delivering excellent client service
