Job Description

The role: As a resident support volunteer for Waythrough in partnership with the Bridge Project, you will assist homeless single women and their young children in 50 dispersed homes across Bradford, providing safe, secure and accessible accommodation. Your main responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities
  • Deliver person centred support
  • Promote safety, dignity and empowerment for tenants
  • Provide high quality accommodation that promotes stability, recovery and long term independence
  • Work with staff to take residents to appointments
  • Serve as point of contact for residents' concerns
  • Share any concerns about residents with a staff member
  • Respect people's differences
  • Maintain professional boundaries and follow Waythrough policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Good written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to track multiple tasks and report progress
  • Non judgmental attitude towards people with lived experience
  • Confidence in contacting people by email or phone
  • Good time keeping
  • Ability to work as part of a team, on own initiative and following instruction
  • Understanding of Waythrough (information available on the website)
  • Genuine interest in supporting the mission and vision of Waythrough
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries, adhere to policies, engage in supervision and complete relevant training
