Job Role

As a Reservations Agent, you will be the first line of inquiry for room reservations within the hotel. Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensure accurate administration of all bookings for bedrooms or restaurant reservations and related correspondence, including billing details.
  • Manage telephone, fax, and e mail enquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge about the hotel and local area.
  • Ensure bookings are guaranteed and that no show or late cancellation charges are applied appropriately, following hotel policies and procedures.
  • Complete arrival quality checks in line with company standards.
  • Respond to all customers professionally, ensuring reservations are completed accurately and to the Guest's expectation.
  • Provide prompt and efficient service while maintaining the hotel's brand standards.
  • Plan and execute small events, dinners, lunches, afternoon teas, etc., that take place within the hotel.
  • Interact frequently with customers and guests to learn about their needs, building relationships for repeat and expanded business.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and secure incremental revenue for the hotel.
  • Ensure all BEOs / Group Sheets are handed over to the Food and Beverage Operations Team / Front Office Team weekly, with accurate information, billing details, and credit policy compliance.
  • Conduct show rounds, pre conference meetings, and post meeting follow ups if requested.
