Research Scientist - Post Doctoral in Biocatalysis

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with partners to identify biocatalytic process opportunities, performing enzyme screening and feasibility studies.
  • Design and deliver workflows for biocatalytic process design, including feasibility assessments and scale-up requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of biocatalysis applications within the chemical industry for small molecule manufacturing.
  • Work alongside biological, synthetic, and process chemistry disciplines to enhance biocatalysis capabilities across functions.

Qualifications and Key Requirements:

  • Education: PhD in biocatalysis or a related discipline.
  • Experience:

- Proven experience in biocatalytic retrosynthesis and developing biocatalytic transformations.

- Proficiency in organic synthesis and quantitative chemical reaction analysis.

- Strong knowledge of biocatalytic reactions, mechanisms, and kinetic behaviours.

- Familiarity with reaction monitoring techniques, including UPLC and LC/MS.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across scientific disciplines.

- Strong teamwork capabilities and a proven track record in delivering scientific research.
