Research Chemist - Synthetic Organic Chemistry, vacancy for our Stein based client in the Chemical Manufacturing sector.

Your tasks:

• Design and execute synthetic organic chemistry routes safely, efficiently and independently.
• Develop and optimize target molecules using retrosynthesis, troubleshooting and purification techniques.
• Carry out detailed risk assessments in line with HSE standards.
• Document experimental procedures and results accurately to support reproduction, retrieval and IP protection.
• Collaborate with internal support platforms and project teams to improve laboratory productivity.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in laboratory ways of working, safety and scientific practice.

Your experience/knowledge:

• Minimum qualification is a master's degree or 3 - 5 years of industrial experience following full training through an apprenticeship program, both in synthetic chemistry work level 3.
• 2 years minimum as research scientist (full pro experience, not internship, not apprenticeship)
• Proven hands-on experience in synthetic chemistry, including reaction design, retrosynthesis, purification and structural elucidation.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Confident use of software tools for synthesis planning and data analysis.
• Proficiency in English is required. Other languages are valued
