About the role:

The University of Lancashire is seeking a Research Associate to prepare, organise and teach the workshops of a fixed term public engagement project entitled 'Heritage and History in Practice: Enhancing Research Culture through Co production and Public Participation' with the aim of advancing the University's creative and participatory research.

This project focuses on heritage and family history as a bridge between academic and public knowledge and seeks to promote co production through collaborative work on family history and heritage archives. By inviting community participants into the University to share, digitise and interpret their heritage materials, the project seeks to develop inclusive research skills, promote open heritage scholarship and reinforce the University's creative, publicly engaged research.

About you:

The successful candidate will have experience of research in History and of using qualitative and quantitative methodologies. You will also have excellent communication and IT skills, along with the ability to work both independently and as a team.

A PhD or equivalent is required for this role.
