Job Description

The Research Assistant (RA) will work closely with lead investigators, Dr Margie Cheesman (KCL) and Rory Crew (CALP), on the project Crypto Without Borders: Investigating Stablecoin Adoption in Humanitarian Crisis.

They will conduct 20 online semi-structured interviews with humanitarian sector professionals, with an interview guide provided, and support the design and dissemination of a survey. The RA will then contribute to the drafting of a research report by providing a 2-page interview analysis briefing, supporting the lead authors writing up key sections (methodology, findings), and sharing one round of feedback on the first draft.

In addition, the RA will be invited to attend an online workshop as part of the project, as well as an in-person conference in Washington DC, July 15- (to be confirmed with organisation hosting the conference). There is potential for the RA to co-author at least one academic publication based on the research.
