This is an exciting time to join the UCL School of Management, which, since 2025, has been undergoing a rapid expansion to deliver a new strategy that will see staff and student numbers double over the coming years. This growth includes new degree programmes, additional staff, and enhanced facilities at our Canary Wharf campus, supporting our mission to educate socially conscious entrepreneurial leaders equipped to tackle the world's greatest challenges.

The UCL School of Management is seeking a research assistant who can provide support to researchers working on projects within the subject area of Finance, Accounting & Economics.

The post will initially be offered for 12 months starting from September 2026 until August 2027, with the intent to extend this for a further 12 months thereafter if the postholder has successfully met the requirements of the role. Salary Details: UCL Grade 6B £39,807 to £42,891 per annum (including London Allowance)

About you

The successful candidate will hold an MSc in a relevant discipline such as social science, economics, engineering, statistics, or computer science. They will possess programming skills in at least one language, with experience in MATLAB and STATA considered desirable but not essential. Strong mathematical training is essential, particularly the ability to understand and verify mathematical proofs. A clear motivation to pursue a PhD or an academic career in finance or economics is also required.
