Are you a Degree educated Chemist, Biochemist or Microbiologist and want to play a part in the UK's transition to Net Zero by joining a pioneering business that is leading the way in the production of Renewable Biofuels within a niche but upcoming sector? This company specialises in the production of biogas through the process of anaerobic digestion at a number of sites across Scotland and has been continuously expanding. They have two major sites currently under construction along the A96 corridor as well as others due to begin construction early this year, with plans to expand southwards into England.
In this role you will work at the company's centre of innovation where new processes and technologies are trialled, supporting feedstock testing, process trials, plant commissioning and ongoing scientific research into the Anaerobic Digestion process.
The Role:- Aiding development of process innovations to improve profitability, reliability, yield and efficiency
- Following wider ongoing research within the field of Anaerobic Digestion and informing management
- Conducting Biomethane Potential & Residual Biomethane Potential tests on feedstock & digestate
- Planning out and carrying out lab scale tests to analyse new potential feedstocks
- Educated to at least Bachelors Degree level in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or similar
- Analytically and critically minded
- Capable of working without supervision and producing own conclusions/findings
- 2+ years post graduate experience (preferable)
