We serve our Community and our Business Partners (IT Suppliers) through Network, MarketInfo, Dialogue and DealRoom services by providing access to the Community and our Supplier Panel, facilitating valuable interactions , creating unique insights, and helping to improve our Members' and Business Partners' deals.
When you join the indysource team, you'll be part of the indysource Community. This means you will interact with IT Suppliers (working on leading-edge Technologies and Services), experienced and knowledgeable Members and a forward-thinking Community Management team. - Work in an international team and organisation.
- Collaboratively define and conduct ongoing research, analysis and benchmarking on the IT Service industry, supplier perception and performance, vendor management issues, and common, best and emerging practices in sourcing relationships and contracts.
- Perform research by networking with our community members, Supplier Panel and other market sources. Evaluating and analysing information, Member input and surveys and participating in research meetings and other activities, which comprise the indysource research process
- Produce industry/role-specific research as necessary
- Add value to the research by analysis (which may include triangulation, pattern recognition, and application of experience)
- Answer inquiries from community members in covered topic areas using discussions on the indysource community platform, video and audio conferencing, and written responses via email
- Create materials for and deliver presentations to members and business partners through face-to-face meetings, teleconferences, webinars, conferences and other modes
- Provide individualised consulting for business partners, which involves presentations regarding indysource research and findings to individual companies or providing advice to members' clients
- Provide sales support by speaking to prospective and existing business partners via telephone, and by making face-to-face sales calls with the business development team
- Help recruit, manage, motivate and mentor research project interns and community managers as applicable
- Prepare deliverable products (with their research component) following the Research Agenda, as well as respond to ad-hoc client consulting requests
- Together with the Research Director, determine specific subjects to research, create an active research agenda, conduct the research, and present/develop accompanying deliverables
- Take positions on key issues that affect your research area and our clients
- Ensure the integrity of the research and analysis of self
- Create an appropriate level of written research per year
- Preferred: 2-4 years of relevant working experience in IT services, procurement, vendor management, research analysis, or related fields
- A motivated, creative individual who can develop research depth and skills.
- Ability to take direction and be self-directed in executing against plans.
- Ability to work as part of an international/virtual team
- Able to receive and give feedback, looking to improve yourself, your colleagues and the company
- Strong work ethos, working both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, i.e. Business, Economics or IT; Master's preferred.
- Sharp interest in IT, IT service- and/or procurement-related issues, and basic understanding of IT solutions, suppliers, and product market.
- Analytically strong, able to solve complex problems and understand and apply frameworks quickly.
- Experience in performing analysis - seeking out and piecing together fragments of information, extrapolating, building and applying conceptual models, recognising patterns and drawing conclusions from partial data.
- The ability to think abstractly and strategically is a must.
- Experience in procurement, contract management, and finance in supplier, advisory firms, or customer organisations is a plus.
- Experience or interest in AI is a plus. We are actively exploring ways AI can help us work more efficiently and enhance our research and analysis processes.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with survey tools like Qualtrics is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch, French or German is a plus).
