Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Reporting and Assurance Manager to join our Strategy and Regulation Directorate. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the company's continued excellent track record in regulatory submissions and assurance.

What you'll do

The reporting and assurance manager role involves interactions across various business areas. It's an excellent opportunity to gain an overview of our key functions and the regulations that govern us, broadening your operational knowledge.

In this role, you'll be:

  • Leading the delivery of the company's annual performance report in collaboration with the regulatory reporting project manager and colleagues across the business
  • Establishing governance and assurance arrangements for the annual review and managing external audit relationships
  • Developing and implementing the company's approach to assurance of information and data, including regulatory submissions
  • Maintaining a log of all published reports and submissions to ensure consistency
  • Engaging with external stakeholders such as industry groups, Ofwat, and consumer bodies
  • Supporting teams in project management and governance within Strategy and Regulation for strategic plans like WRMP and DWMP
What you'll need

We're seeking a proactive individual capable of working collaboratively, sometimes under pressure.

The essential skills include:

  • Degree qualification or equivalent experience
  • Extensive project or program management experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience in regulatory reporting or assurance, preferably in utilities or regulated sectors
  • Excellent communication skills and team collaboration
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

Experience with internal or external audits is advantageous.
