What you'll do As a Repairs Officer, you'll be a key part of our Repairs directorate, making sure day-to-day repairs are coordinated effectively and completed to a high standard. You'll use your problem-solving skills and customer-focused mindset to ensure residents only need to ask once-and if things go wrong, we fix them fast. Working closely with colleagues and contractors, you'll help maintain safe homes, ensure compliance with regulations, and deliver a service that residents can rely on. How you'll do it Oversee and progress repairs within internal systems, ensuring timely completion and high standards. Use first-line diagnostic skills to support responsive repairs and escalate complex cases when needed. Monitor contractor performance, review quotes, and challenge variances to ensure value for money. Carry out quality checks on completed works before approving payment and assist with invoice processing. Respond to customer enquiries and complaints, keeping residents informed throughout the repair journey. Support audits, reporting, and performance monitoring to drive continuous improvement. Work collaboratively with regional teams and contractors to deliver a trusted, reliable repairs service.
