Your new role
As a Renewable Heating Design Engineer, you will take the lead on designing efficient, compliant, and reliable heating systems across a range of applications. You'll work on both traditional and renewable based solutions including heat pumps, whilst ensuring every system meets UK & Irish regulations and performance standards. You'll collaborate closely with installation teams, project managers, and clients, providing technical support throughout the full project lifecycle.

• Design domestic and commercial heating systems aligned with project requirements
• Deliver accurate heat loss calculations and system sizing
• Develop low carbon and renewable system designs, including heat pumps
• Produce drawings, schematics, and detailed design documentation
• Ensure full compliance with UK & Irish building regulations and sector standards
• Interpret technical surveys and project information
• Support installation teams during delivery, installation, and commissioning
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimise system performance

What you'll need to succeed

• HNC / HND / Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering, OR equivalent industry experience
• Experience in heating system design (domestic and/or commercial)
• Strong understanding of low carbon heating and renewable technologies
• Competent in heat loss calculations and system design principles
• Working knowledge of UK building regulations (Irish regs beneficial)
• Experience with heating design and drawing software
• Ability to read and interpret technical data
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities
• Full UK driving licence & UK work eligibility
