If you're a Real Estate Senior Solicitor or Associate thinking carefully about where the market is heading - and where your career will be most secure over the next decade - renewables has to be at the top of that list. Energy transition is not a short-term trend. Investment into renewable infrastructure continues at pace, government policy is driving development, and funders remain heavily committed to the sector. In simple terms, renewables work is one of the most resilient and future proof areas of real estate practice. If you're looking to pivot or deepen your focus into a sector with long term security, consistent deal flow and real strategic importance, this is exactly the kind of opportunity you should be considering.
What You'll Be DoingYou'll advise on projects spanning onshore and offshore wind, hydro and pumped storage, solar, tidal, battery storage, biomass and district heating schemes. The work regularly involves rural land, strategic development sites and large scale infrastructure projects, requiring careful structuring of options, leases, servitudes, access rights and title matters. You'll also support acquisitions, disposals and financings of operational and pipeline assets.
Our Clients and ProjectsClients include developers, landowners, investors and lenders, often delivered alongside major City firms on complex cross border transactions involving Scottish assets.
