An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shift Manager to join a global leader in gas engineering and distribution. Based at their Remote Operations Centre in Rotherham, this role supports plant optimisation across multiple international sites.
You'll operate from a control room environment using SCADA and PLC systems to manage real-time plant operations and performance, ensuring safe and efficient supply of tonnage and bulk gases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimise remote plant operations, reducing power consumption
- Interface with sites and product supply teams to meet demand
- Support start-up, shut-down and emergency scenarios
- Monitor and maintain process safety parameters for ASUs and HYCO plants
- Identify and resolve performance issues; drive process improvements
- Produce monthly performance reports and track KPIs
- Support onboarding and training of new sites
What You'll Bring to The Team
- Experience in Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical environments
- Proficient with P&ID and PFD interpretation
- Background in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Chemical Process Engineering
- Air separation (ASU), HYCO and CO experience advantageous
- Engineering degree preferred or equivalent practical experience
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
