Relief Support Worker - Locks Heath

Age Concern Hampshire are currently recruiting for a Relief Support Workers to join our friendly and dedicated team at our Care & Wellbeing Centres in Locks Heath Purpose of the role

To provide care and support for older people with Dementia and reduced mobility, offering stimulating activities and assisting on transport. Under the overall management and direction of the Care and Wellbeing Centre Manager.

• Provide a person centred and holistic approach when working with our Clients, their family members/carers
• Enabling our Clients to mobilise within the Care and Wellbeing Centre accessing all facilities
• Attending to their personal needs particularly those who require assistance with personal care and have reduced mobility
• Supporting Clients at mealtimes as needed
• Contribute to the running of the activity programme and person centred activities when directed, including running small groups and individual activities
• Building positive professional relationships with our clients
• Effective participation in staff meetings
• To be part of a team and co-operate with and support other team members
• To undertake training in related matters
• A flexible approach to working hours is ESSENTIAL to cover for staff or volunteer absences when necessary
• To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be considered within the scope of the post and are conducive and contribute to an effective caring service.
