Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Inverclyde are looking for people like you to provide individualized support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on a 1:1 basis or as part of a team.
The Turning Point Scotland Inverclyde Housing Support service is designed for people with complex needs arising from mental health issues and/or substance misuse. Most of the individuals we support have a moderate to severe mental illness, some have difficulties related to alcohol and drug misuse, and others require assistance with personal care and social functioning. The aim is to promote a safe and secure lifestyle while maximizing independence and reintegration into the local community.
We provide tailored support 24/7, serving 11 individuals in secure tenancies and offering outreach support throughout Inverclyde.

ResponsibilitiesAs a Relief Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs. You will provide practical and emotional support, encouraging clients to achieve personal outcomes in areas such as safety, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships and emotional wellbeing. You will be scheduled across shifts that include days, nights, sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and public holidays (including Christmas, New Year, Easter, etc.).
Relief Workers are primarily deployed to cover periods of leave, sickness absence, or during periods of peak activity. They can fit their work around existing commitments and are not obligated to accept shifts that do not suit them. However, once a shift is accepted, reliability in attendance is essential.
Relief Workers submit a timesheet to claim payment, are paid monthly, accrue some entitlement to paid holidays, and are reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in the course of work.
Requirements- IT skills are required for all vacancies.
- Successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of the start date, where applicable.
- No previous working experience is necessary; full training will be provided.
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are not required.
