Overview
Anchor Group Services is looking for professional and reliablesecurity professionals to join our team as a Relief Security Officer atFiddlers Ferry Power Station in Warrington.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SecurityOfficers who take pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment whiledelivering a professional and approachable service. We are seeking individualswho can confidently engage with employees, contractors, visitors and members ofthe public, acting as a visible security presence and ensuring site proceduresare followed at all times.
This role is based within a large industrial environment,requiring officers to remain vigilant, proactive, and responsive throughouttheir shifts. Responsibilities include conducting regular site patrols(including vehicle patrols using an on-site company vehicle), monitoring accessand egress points, carrying out security checks, monitoring CCTV systems,responding to incidents, and reporting any suspicious activity or securityconcerns.
We are seeking officers with strong observational skills, strongverbal and written communication, a professional appearance, and the confidenceto work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and security.The ability to remain alert, make sound decisions, and take a proactiveapproach to identifying and addressing potential risks is essential.
This role requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong workethic, as you will support the site security team by covering shifts asrequired, including a variety of days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
The successful candidate must hold a valid SIA Licence as aminimum. A CCTV licence is preferred but not essential, provided you haveknowledge of CCTV systems. A full UK Manual Driving Licence is required, as this roleinvolves mobile patrols using an on-site company vehicle.
Duties include:
- Protecting theclient's property, people and/or assets by providing security services indirect accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's)and site-specific procedures
- Conducting regularpatrols of the site to deter and detect unauthorised activity. (includingvehicle patrols)
- Monitoring andmanaging access control, including issuing, checking passes, permits, oridentification, and logging vehicles
- Preventing losses anddamage by reporting irregularities; informing offenders of policy andprocedures
- Preventing andescalating incidents in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner to theControl Room, Shift Manager, Operations Manager or Emergency Services asappropriate for serious incidents
- Operating andmonitoring site CCTV equipment
- Completing reports byrecording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillanceactivities
- Maintainingorganisation's stability and reputation by complying with legalrequirements
- Contributing to teameffort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Acting as a firstline support to customers and visitors to site, providing a professionaland friendly service
- Understanding theneeds of our customer, respond accordingly to customer queries andrequests and take appropriate action
- Maintainingprofessional conduct at all times
Requirements
- ESSENTIAL: Full 5-year employmentcheckable history
- ESSENTIAL: Valid frontline SIA Licence
- ESSENTIAL: Full UK Manual DrivingLicence
- A CCTV licence is desirable but not essential,provided you have knowledge of CCTV systems.
- Customer serviceexperience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner
- Flexible to meet thejob requirements and cover shifts as required
