Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Retail Security Officer you will provide visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities.
- Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity
- Assess and identify vulnerabilities, working proactively to minimise risk
- Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable
- Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress
- Complete colleague and contractor searches in line with customer company policy
- Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning
- Produce detailed and legible incident reports to assist the client and local authorities
Location: Stockport
Hours: Varied (Relief Position)
Shift Pattern: Varied (Relief Position)
Hourly Rate: Site dependent, between £12.71-£15.00 per hour
Qualifications and Experience- Must have a valid SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence
- Previous retail security experience is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided
- Provide a full 5 year checkable work or back to school history and recent proof of address and right to work documents
To be an effective Security Officer you will need to be a confident communicator, welcoming and patient with customers, and able to handle conflict in a professional manner.
