Relief Pharmacist

About the Role:

This position requires practicing pharmacy in an environment that promotes patient care and education. The candidate must be patient-focused, clinically oriented, and have a vision to elevate Meijer Pharmacy's patient care services.

Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions accurately and safely.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable and foster growth within the pharmacy team.
• Mentor and educate pharmacy technicians.
• Motivate team members to perform at their best.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Communicate effectively and drive change.
• Prioritize workload with excellent organizational skills.
• Address patient needs and provide customer service.
• Oversee pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge.
• Perform clinical services, including immunizations where permitted.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or Doctorate of Pharmacy degree.
• Licensed and registered in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR certification.
• Experience in retail/community pharmacy practice.
