Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Relief Pharmacist to join the team in our pharmacies throughout the North Dublin area. This is a permanent position with the store's opening hours operating Monday to Friday, two Saturdays a month and one Sunday a month. You will be supported by an Area Manager and a rostering team.

Responsibilities
  • Strictly observe statutory regulations relating to the supply of medical products as per the Pharmacy Act 2007.
  • Maintain the community pharmacy to a proper professional standard.
  • Be involved where appropriate in programmes of health promotion and the implementation of pharmaceutical care.
  • Partake in continuing education programmes to enhance continuous professional development.
  • Implement policies and procedures as introduced by Allcare Pharmacy and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure proper stock control is maintained and the correct receipt and documentation of all goods and services is upheld pertaining to the dispensary.
  • Be responsible for the security of all stock, property, keys and the safety of all staff and customers in conjunction with the pharmacy manager.
  • Observe the details laid down in the Health and Safety at Work Act and ensure all staff adhere to the details.
  • Ensure that details of the business are confidential and not divulged to persons outside the company without prior approval from Allcare Pharmacy.
  • Ensure the proper procedure for the various Department of Health schemes (e.g., DPS, LTI, GMS) is carried out, kept up to date, submitted properly at the end of each month and payment is reconciled as set down by company procedures.
  • Support the pharmacy manager in ensuring store retail standards and practices are in place and maintained, including category management, merchandising and stock control.
  • Keep up to date with all changes to legislation and PSI practice guidance.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  • 1-2 years as a Pharmacist is highly advantageous.
  • Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Highly organised with a proven ability to work on multiple tasks accurately in a busy environment.
  • The ability to work on one's own initiative and as part of a team is essential.
