Relief Personal Assistant - Peebles - 3011

I am a young woman living at home in Peebles, looking for people to join my small team of carers on a Bank capacity. I require care 24 hours a day so need people that I can really rely on to support my team should anyone require sick or annual leave.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• I require support with all my personal care needs - support with washing/showering daily.
• I need help with all cooking and meal preparation throughout the day, ensuring that I have eaten and drunk enough.
• I need someone to prompt and assist me when taking my medication.
• I require support around my home - help with laundry, housework and the general running of my home along with assistance with the shopping too.
• I need encouragement and support if I choose to go out socially and need someone who can help with any personal care requirements during these times too.

• A person who is reliable, trustworthy and confidential.
• Someone who will work well within my team but who is confident enough to work on their own initiative too.
• Ideally someone who is happy to work alongside cats as I have four.

Hours of work

• Shifts are 7am-2pm, 5pm-10pm and sleepovers are 10pm-7am.

The terms

• £14.00 per hour for day shifts and sleepovers are paid at £120 per shift.
• 5.6 weeks annual leave calculated on a pro-rata basis.
• This is a female only post and is an occupation requirement permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equalities Act 2010.
• Full driving license is required.
