Reliable and proactive Housekeeper required in Bath

Job Overview

A proactive and experienced Housekeeper is required for an informal family home in Bath. The ideal Housekeeper will have experience working in a large private home, be able to use their own initiative, and be competent at managing the household.

Responsibilities

• All housekeeping duties, including cleaning the large house, changing bedding, laundry, ironing, and managing the children's wardrobes.
• Running errands as required.
• Assisting with occasional cooking and preparation of vegetables for family meals.
• Child supervision when requested (must be child friendly and comfortable in a busy household).
• Supporting a second housekeeper who works different hours; you will often work as a tag team.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience as a housekeeper in a private home.
• Up to date enhanced DBS certificate (required for all roles involving children).
• 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
• Minimum of two professional referees, one of whom must be a current or recent employer.
• Private car and valid driver's licence (driving is essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, be organised, honest, discreet, and have a 'can do' attitude.

Job Details

• Position: Housekeeper (Permanent).
• Location: Bath.
• Hours: Monday plus 1-3 other days, 7/8 am 3 pm.
• Start date: ASAP.
• Pay: £20 gross per hour.
• Household: 9 bedroom, newly renovated, 3 floors (third floor seldom used), with cats and a future dog.
• Note: The house may involve occasional child supervision and errand running.
