Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Systems Engineer to join our team in the Defence sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our defence systems. This position requires a strong background in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) / Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM). The candidate must hold SC Clearance and be a British national.
Key Responsibilities- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) / Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Perform detailed FMECA in compliance with standards such as MIL-STD-882 and MSG-3.
- Identify safety-critical components and assign appropriate criticality codes.
- Develop and maintain FMECA documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to mitigate identified risks and improve system reliability.
- Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)
- Conduct RCM analysis to optimise maintenance schedules, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies based on RCM principles.
- Analyse maintenance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Work with maintenance teams to ensure the effective implementation of RCM strategies.
- General Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
- Participate in design reviews and provide reliability input.
- Conduct reliability testing and analysis.
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to stakeholders.
- Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably in the Defence sector.
- Proficiency in performing FMECA in compliance with MIL-STD-882 and MSG-3.
- Experience in conducting RCM analysis and developing maintenance strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- SC Clearance and British nationality.
