- The client will accept UK based candidates only if they use an accredited umbrella company for this assignment
- mandatory minimum 8 days/month on site
The Role: The role of the Release Manager is to identify and manage the series of implementations and interim states to achieve the planned outcomes, driving alignment across all contributing Epics and impacted Tribes/Squads. For the LAM Cluster this will cover approx. 8 Epics and 5 or more implementations.
Objectives:
- Produce Cluster Release Plan to achieve the committed improvements and benefits
- Identify and secure stakeholder approval for each Release Scope and Change Impact Assessment
- Lead the Release Plan, organising cross-Epic and cross-Tribe resources to deliver on schedule
- Manage technical Release scope, coordinating with Cluster Test Lead and GTS Change & Release Management
Required skills and qualifications:
- We are looking for a candidate with 8 years of Project delivery experience leading similar Release and Implementation planning in Financial Services.
- Understanding of Identity Management including access (de)provisioning, role-based access control, joiner/mover/leaver ( JML ) activities, ServiceNow integrations, knowledge of access control models and policies.
- Experience of onboarding applications in an IAM tool.
- You are experienced in managing end to end several projects in parallel with size varying from 300 to 3,000 man-days, in a Programme delivery organisation
- You have demonstrated through your career strong leadership skills with the ability as well to adapt your style according to the context and the different project stakeholders.
- Projects managed according industry standard Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- You are expert in developing the Release approach across transversal Projects or Epics, covering the disciplines of Planning, Estimating, Change Control, Risks & Issues, Resources management. Previous experience of outsourced projects management is a plus.
- You naturally have strong negotiation and conflict management skills and you are able to influence different levels of management towards your projects targets.
- You are fluent in English and have excellent communication skills (listening, writing, and presenting) at all levels, from staff members to senior management level.
- You have a natural affinity with the technical domains and have experience delivering solutions across different systems architecture, including Windows, Linux and Mainframe.
