Reinsurance Purchaser

A leading Lloyd's Managing Agency has a new Reinsurance Purchaser vacancy. Responsibilities will include assisting the Outwards Reinsurance department, securing coverage, managing programmes, and maintaining relationships for designated parts of the Line of Business portfolio.

The successful applicant will have previous reinsurance purchasing experience. Experience with XL Prowould be desirable but isn't essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Placement of outwards reinsurance (both Excess of Loss and Proportional Treaty)
2. Analysis and review of prospective reinsurance, evaluating portfolio risks and exposures
3. Review and agreement of placing slips
4. Maintaining good reinsurer and broker relationships
5. Production of reinsurance renewal information/exhibits
6. Review of underlying data for risk assessment and portfolio optimization
7. Quarterly account analysis
8. Responding to reinsurer queries with relevant information
9. Monitoring account developments
10. Providing coverage across the Outwards Reinsurance Purchasers, with flexibility to work on different programmes and across the broader team based on resourcing needs
