Role Summary

We seek a Regulatory & Tax Reporting professional to lead all aspects of reporting related to FATCA/CRS regimes, as an ISA Manager, a qualified Intermediary, and other tax reporting concerning securities custody and trading.

This role ensures compliance with evolving global tax and regulatory obligations, supporting operational excellence and risk mitigation across custody and trading services.

This is initially a fixed-term contract of 12-18 months, with potential for extension or permanent placement, depending on business needs. Support will be provided by the wider team, including colleagues in Chennai.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review operational practices and system functionality; document necessary changes for regulatory compliance.
  • Establish an appropriate control framework across the client lifecycle, including onboarding, account maintenance, and external reporting.
  • Support audits by ensuring documentation and controls are adequate.
  • Define and help develop the long-term operating model.
  • Guide business stakeholders to ensure complete and accurate data capture for reporting.
  • Act as subject matter expert on regulatory reporting; review and implement relevant guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Lead preparation and submission of regulatory reports in line with industry standards.
  • Report to governance committees as required.

Skills, Capabilities & Attributes

  • Degree or equivalent/industry experience.
  • Experience with Big 4 consulting or large companies preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of QI regime, FATCA/CRS.
  • Knowledge of HMRC ISA reporting & other tax reporting (e.g., Spanish Financial Transaction Tax).
  • Experience managing operational process design and controls for regulated business.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Adaptability and resilience to change.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
